“Always look on the bright side of life!” This outrageous musical adapted from the screenplay of the legendary comedy, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, took the theatre world by storm and swept the theatre awards in 2005. An irreverent parody of the legendary tale of King Arthur and his knights of the Round Table, featuring a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits and French people. Monty Python’s SPAMALOT “raises silliness to an artform” (Sunday Times) and has been hailed as a “no-holds-barred smash-hit.” (The New Yorker).
LETTICE AND LOVAGE (Comedy)
“An evening of enchantment and delight.” – New York Post
“Hilarious.” – USA Today
October 18 – November 3, 2013
By Peter Shaffer
Directed by Greg Fritsch
From the author that brought us Equus and Amadeus, comes the delightful comedy, LETTICE AND LOVAGE. Lettice Duffet, an enthusiast of history and the theatre, is a tour guide at one of the most mundane of London’s stately homes. She livens up her tours by fabricating wildly theatrical stories, which comes to the attention of her conventional employer, Lotte Schon. Schon is not at all amused by Lettice’s uninhibited history lessons. The meeting of these spinsters – the free spirited Lettice, and the straight-laced Lotte, leads to an unlikely, yet riotous friendship. This hit featured a triumphant award-winning performance by Dame Maggie Smith in London and on Broadway.
MAME (Musical)
A classic musical based on the novel “Auntie Mame” by Patrick Dennis and the play “Auntie Mame” by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee.

Directed by Bill Starr
Choreographed by Gary Stanford, Jr.
Musical Director: Greg Sudmeier
Winner of Three Tony Awards
“Tune the grand up, dance your shoes off, strike the band up, it’s today!” So begins the musical tale of Mame Dennis, an eccentric Bohemian whose way of life is abruptly altered when she becomes the guardian of her late brother’s son, Patrick. The madcap adventures of “Auntie Mame” and her nephew take us from the speak-easies of the roaring 1920′s to the Great Depression and World War II, as the pair experience living life to the fullest and celebrating all it has to offer. With a lavish score by Jerry Herman, featuring such popular hits as “We Need A Little Christmas,” “Bosom Buddies,” and “If He Walked Into My Life,” MAME is one of Broadway’s greatest musical masterpieces.
THE GRAPES OF WRATH (Drama)
“…a thrilling theatrical achievement that gets its power from the still sharp relevance of its human
message…” —NY Post
“…a lesson in history, stagecraft, and truth that we cannot afford not to learn.” —NY Magazine.
January 23 – February 9, 2014
By Frank Galati, from the novel by John Steinbeck
Directed by Greg Fritsch
Composer & Musical Director: Greg Sudmeier
Winner of the 1990 Tony Award and Outer Critics Circle Award.
Frank Galati’s The Grapes of Wrath is a powerful and deeply moving stage version of one of the masterworks of American literature. Set during the Great Depression, John Steinbeck’s Pulitzer Prize winning story of the Joad family and their journey from the dust bowl fields of Oklahoma to the farmlands of California, in search of jobs and a future, has become a testament to the strength of the human spirit. It is an inspiring tale of courage and the persistence to survive against insurmountable odds – a timeless message that still holds true today as the novel celebrates its 75th Anniversary.
LEND ME A TENOR (Comedy)
“Non stop laughter.” – Variety
“Uproarious! Hysterical!” – USA Today
March 14 – 30, 2014
By Ken Ludwig
Directed by Hunt Burdick
Winner of 3 Tony Awards and 4 Drama Desk Awards
Nominee for 2010 Tony Award, Best Revival of a Play
A sensation on Broadway and in London’s West End, Ken Ludwig’s Lend Me a Tenor is a wildly entertaining farce. It is September 1934 and the biggest night in history for the Cleveland Grand Opera Company. Renowned tenor, Tito Merelli, is set to perform Othello for the company’s opening gala, but chaos ensues when his wife mistakenly leaves him a “Dear John” letter and the distraught Merelli is accidentally given a double dose of tranquilizers. What follows is a laugh-out-loud chain reaction of mistaken identity, mishaps, plot twists, and plenty of slamming doors. The New York Times called Lend Me a Tenor “one of the two great farces by a living writer.”
